It's truly hard to put into words how wonderful and inspiring the Leadership Gathering on Necker was for me. I was humbled and intimidated initially as I am not a titan of industry. I'm currently at such a crossroads in my life trying to figure out the "empty nest" future. As a past social worker, current mother, volunteer, and philanthropist. I've been reflecting on where I'm going to spend my time and resources in my next phase of life.

I've recently been affected by the lack of resources available to my adult mentally handicapped brother. Since the Virgin Unite experience, I'm forging ahead with opening a group home for disabled adults in the Houston area which will benefit my brother plus others. It was definitely the inspiration and the "boost" I needed to not give up. I had recently been frustrated with obstacles associated with this endeavor.  It was so refreshing to see people from various industries actually caring to make the world a better place. It felt so wonderful to be around such an extraordinary group. I pray and hope that the spirit of this group will be sprinkled back into each and every one of our communities.
